The whole cut tag thing? Yeah, for spoilers it's pretty much necessary, or if there are 100 pictures. But if you're posting ONE picture or your post is long and rambly do I think you need to cut it? Only if you feel like YOU need to do so. Because Jesus H Christ, is it really that difficult for people to SCROLL down a little more? It's PUSHING A BUTTON. No one is asking you to do ROCKET SCIENCE.
"It's clogging up my friend's list" blah blah. You know what? If you're too lazy to scroll down then what the hell are you doing using a computer in the first place? But whatever. Of all things in the world people choosing to bitch because someone doesn't cut tag every damn thing they post? That's pretty fucking petty if you ask me.
And BTW, I'm on dialup. Pictures take ages to load up for me but you STILL DON'T HEAR ME BEING BITCHY MCNASTY WITH PEOPLE for posting!!

I've got a couple people on my flist who, every time I do a really, really long post about RL crap that's bogging me down (and you know, usually I put it all behind a cut, but there's been the odd time where I've forgotten to do so because it's either so late, or I just assumed I had but turns out I didn't)....and they do a rant about how people should put ALL RL posts behind cuts because "omg, this is the internetz!".

Picture posts I agree, those should be behind tags. Depending on my layout, I do get annoyed when someone posts a YouTube video because 'omg my layouts fucked now!', but yeah I like staring at Sam/Cam, so when someone screws up the pretty I get grumbly. But I'd NEVER rant about it and tell people to LJ-cut because it's *my* issue for having such a
gorgeouslimited width layout, you know?Hehe! Anyway, this is just what I needed to read today, because I completely agree and when I agree with something this much, this big, it makes me happy. Does that make me a horrible person? Probably, anyway! I'm with you :)
One person on my list even wants you to cut any time you talk about politics. And, um, no I don't think I'll do that because it's my journal. The minute you see me mention politics you can scroll right on past.

Seriously, it gets annoying when people posts pictures that break my layout, and I understand that apparently there are people out there that use 14.4k dial-up internet to access my livejournal for whatever reason, but at the end of the day, if an individual posts pictures respectfully and tastefully it isn't a problem for me. If it were, the last thing I'd do is tell them to fucking cut the damn thing, swearing every god damned fifth word...

And, uh, I just put up a video that I wanted to share with someone, and I didn't use a cut. Sorry! It was my first time putting up a video. I didn't know! I hope nobody gets mad at me.... :)
