Okay it doesn't even look like my kind of movie, but I'll sit through Keys to the Kingdom for Jennifer Garner because she is pretty much awesome. I miss Alias, man. I'm just excited she's back in the acting world post-baby. I saw her on some commerical the other day and was like "SYDNEY!" Haha.

So last night I dreamt I was hiding from the law. I have no idea what I did, but it must have been something really bad because it made me die my hair Sydney Bristow red and pack bags with the intent of fleeing Illinois. My dad was behind me fleeing, my mom wanted me to turn myself in and kept trying to talk me out of running. But I was all "Yeah I don't think so." So I was packing clothes and stuff, and of course, all my Smallville DVDs. (You know you're really obsessed with a show if you're on the run from the law and stop long enough to pack up your show's DVDs!). But the cops showed up at my house as I was packing and my mom let them in. I was arrested and placed in the backseat of a squad car without the metal gate between the front and back (weiiiird).

I was contemplating pulling a Faith (from Buffy) and attempting to crash the car when the two guys got out and lead me into some building that was all dark and had lots of hallways and elevators. There were other people there too, whom in the dream I knew but I have no idea who they were now that I'm awake. And when we looked outside, we saw a huge pack of vampires surrounding the building and coming in through the elevators. 0_o So then all of us went to another part of the building where the vampires couldn't enter for whatever reason and I started having a conversation with a woman about writing for a magazine. Wtf?


So yeah, bizarre dreams. *shakes head*

And is it just me, or is anyone else absolutely dreading tonight's Alias? I'm not ready for this show to be over. I'm really not. I didn't realize how much I was dreading it until last week and now I'm just...I don't know. I feel really sad that it's over after tonight. *sigh*

So Supernatural and Smallville have both been renewed, so that's 3/3 this year. All my shows are coming back, thankfully. But...today is the one anniversary of the cancelation of Joan and I'm sad. *sigh* I also didn't sleep well last night and woke up much too early worried about getting my Virtual Summer Season fic done on time tonight, and feeling sad about Joan and the fact that Alias is almost over for good.

I have the TV blues, peeps. Blah.

So I was looking over the list of what's returning and what's not next season on ABC, and even though I already knew this season is the last for Alias, I still felt like I'd been kicked in the gut when I didn't see it on the schedule before "Lost." *sigh* http://www.thefutoncritic.com/pr.aspx?id=20060516abc01

However, I do take some consolation in the fact that several people from the cast including Ron Rifkin have already gotten jobs on other series'. In fact, Ron and Balthazar Getty (Thomas) are going to be in a show together called 'Brothers and Sisters' which also stars Calista Flockart and is produced/directed by Ken Olin from Alias and Marti Noxon from Buffy. So...sounds like it'll be decent.

Rob Bowman and Jeff Bell, some of the head guys from The X-Files are doing a new show too, called "Day Break." Which I'd probably watch except it sounds way too much like a rip-off of Tru Calling. Will wait and see previews before making up my mind on this one.

"Six Degrees" also sounds good and even if it didn't, all I need to know is that JJ Abrams is the executive producer. So there, people. So very there.

"Traveler" is brought to us by David Nutter (producer of the X-Files, Supernatural), and starring Matthew Bomer (Luc from Tru Calling), this one sounds good too.

Now if only we knew what CW was for sure picking up. *waits anxiously*

Addendum: Apparently NBC canceled 'Surface.' Fuckers. I officially watch nothing on NBC anymore. Nem, you will be missed. *sniff*

Now let me admit something here...I've never, to my recollection, ever dreamt about Alias before. Dreams are what generally eggs me into becoming a part of a fandom. I find it odd and a bit depressing that now I dream about it as there are only what...three more episodes left? I'm not about to hop into a fandom where the show's ending. That's just not healthy for me.

I'm actually pretty happy in the Smallville fandom...you never really know when you get into a show and start writing fic how you'll be received by the other fans, but everyone's been so nice and welcoming and I feel right at home here.

That being said, there are days where I intensely miss previous fandoms I've been in: Roswell, Angel, Third Watch...and most of all right now...Joan of Arcadia.

I know it's because of the approaching date, but yesterday I sat in front of my computer and just stared blankly at the screen for hours as writer's block seized me in my current SV fic...because all I could think about was how much I miss Joan and Grace and Judith and Luke and Adam and...well, you get the idea. *sigh*

In some tiny and stupid self-centric way I feel like it's my fault that the show didn't get revived because if I had just done more with the campaign, then maybe another network would've picked it up. I know rationally that's retarded because I SO don't have that much control over the universe, but there's still that lingering feeling that I just can't get rid of.

If Smallville, God forbid, gets canceled, I'm done. No more fandom anything for me. My little fandom heart can't take it anymore.

So...after that double whammy JJ delivered to us Alias and Lost fans last night, I had one hell of a time falling asleep...

Also...I've settled on seven names I really like for my kids' names in the future...uh...assuming I have girls. Heh.

Can any Alias fans out there help me out? I'm looking for really good Syd/Vaughn fanfic but as I haven't really read much Alias fic before, I don't know where to look. Any recommendations of sites and/or stories I should be on the look out for? Thanks!

So I was watching 'Alias' today...an episode called "Mea Culpa'...anyway, Sydney's partner Dixon got shot and they took him to, get this--Angel of Mercy hospital in L.A.

LMAO.

The smallest things amuse me.

I did NOT want to get up this morning. Someone explain to me how when I get only 4 or 5 hours of sleep, I have more energy than when I get 8 or 9 hours of sleep.

I love Alias. I don't even remember these early episodes like, at all. It's like watching them for the first time. I'm trying to only watch one eppie a day, and I watched the second episode of first season, "So It Begins" today...it ended in a cliffhanger...and I can't remember how she gets out of the trouble she's in at the end of it. So I can't wait til tomorrow when I can watch the third eppie and find out. *sighs*

I'm apparently in an Alias icon making mood. ;)

Crime: Attempting to turn me away from the TW fandom and to a fandom I have no desire to be a part of. Smallville. I like the show, but I DON'T want to be part of the fandom.

Damn you, Muse! We discussed this! I said I would voluntarily switch to Alias fandom if you so requested.

Alias wasn't on tonight. I am feeling a little bitter.

I need my Sydney/Vaughn fix. I hate cliffhangers. Had to make an icon so I could drool a little and hopefully survive til next Sunday.

American Music Awards SUCK. No offense to anyone enjoying them...I have it on in the background, but I'm not caring for much of anything I've heard tonight.

I was really starting to lose interest in Angel this season...until tonight. Tonight's episode blew me away and made me remember why I've been hooked on this show for so long. I won't say anymore cause I don't wanna spoil anyone. But it was good.

What I will do, however, is squeal about the previews for next week's eppie, because OH MY GOD! Drusilla is back! I never in a million years would have guessed that. I can't wait! *grins*

Sidenote: I can't stop thinking about the shippy scene from Alias the other night between Sydney and Vaughn. I have a feeling that show will eventually become an obsession.

I love Alias.

If and when my TW obsession..er, dedication ever ends, I can see that being my new fandom of choice.

Jennifer Garner is a goddess. Michael Vartan is a god.
