Am I the only person left on the planet who didn't know Michael Welch was going to be in Twilight!?

I'm on a major reading spree these days and would love to hear your book recs--fiction, non-fiction, anything. I have a wide range of interests from psychology/sociology subjects to art to writing to weather and pretty much anything you can think of. After a couple days I'll be post dating this and keeping it at the top of my LJ so random passer-bys can rec things! :) Thanks!

My Jensen dream from the night before last did not continue last night. *sigh* Maybe tonight. Or maybe I'll have to wait a week like when you have to wait for a new episode of your favorite show? Who knows?

Last night in terms of sleep was rather sucky actually. I don't remember dreaming until after the Incident at 3:45 this morning. Said incident involved me walking to the bathroom (okay walking is probably overreaching--more like stumbling), spotting a bug of unknown origin on the floor and shrieking loudly when it started jumping TOWARD me. My first panicked thought was "OMG Cricket!" Followed quickly by: "RUN!" I wound up jumping up into a laundry basket behind me, breaking it when my foot went right through the bottom and then racing to turn on the light, at which point said bug was gone. It took me over an hour to get back to sleep and only then by convincing myself it was just a wolf spider and not a cricket.

So I managed to finally fall back asleep just before 5 a.m. and then I begin dreaming that my best friend Lea is having a birthday party in which me and a whole lot of others are at, including her stepfather. Well said stepfather said something that made Lea cry so I started cussing him out and then tackled him and beat the crap out of him. 0_o Nooo idea where the hell THAT came from, but whatever. So then the dream shifted and my friend Tim was there and he for some reason thought he was Rylee's father. *scratches head* I swear to God I don't know where I come up with this crap.

And wound up asking if they had any Smallville books or comics. The woman helping me handed me a Smallville third season companion, paused and asked, "Hey isn't that the show that's on right before Supernatural?"

At which point I was like "Yeah!" She goes, "Isn't it about Superman?" I told her yep, when he was younger. She told me she loves Supernatural. "Aren't those two boys just precious?"

Hah, well, lady, that's one way to put it. My first inclinations would be HOT! SEXY! FINE! but precious works, too. She said Dean reminded her of "that guy off Tru Calling" at which point my mouth kinda dropped open. "I loved Tru Calling too!" And we discussed how we both loved Buffy, and Angel, and she goes "Of course, I like those weird shows. I'm an X-Phile." Hee! So I was all "Wow, I think we've loved all the same shows!" hee...and I think I talked her into joining Curves.

It was cool.

*happy dance* I just got an email from my favorite author, Cate Tiernan. She wrote a book series called Sweep that I was hooked on for the past two years (reading and re-reading). I found her email on a fan site and I sent her a letter telling her how much I enjoyed her books. She actually took the time to write me back! I'm so thrilled!

If you want to read a wonderfully written psychologically thrilling page-turner, read "The Taking" by Dean Koontz.

I started and finished a rather long novel by Sharon Sala today called 'Out of the Dark.' It came out in 2003. It's 378 pages and I started reading it at around 10 this morning, and finished it by 4:50 this afternoon because I couldn't put it down.

It was sad, and intense, and touching. I laughed, I cried, and no, I'm not exaggerating. Anyone who loves to read should check out this book because it was fantastic.

Seriously, it's like 95 degrees. Apparently not hot enough for my boss to turn on the air conditioning. Half the day I thought I was going to have a heat stroke.

Attempted market research while I was at work, but it was so hot I had a hard time focusing on the boringness of the words. Read the first half of 'A Place to Call Home' by Sharon Sala instead. It's pretty good, though at first I wasn't sure I was going to like it. I should know better. Sharon Sala is awesome.

Been up since 5:50 this morning. Had 3 interviews for this article. All went fine, though I was nervous to the point I felt sick this morning for awhile.

The awesome news of the day is that the Relay For Life team here at school is having a book sale--I got 18 books for 12 dollars, 16 of which were writing books. I'm ecstatic.

The problem?

Uh...I have no place to put 18 more books. :D

So for the past like, 48 hours I've been downloading MIDI files onto my computer. I now have roughly 330 saved to my hard drive. I think I have a problem.

"Excuse me. My name is Angie and...I'm a MIDIholic."

And tomorrow I'm going to a book sale where all the books are $.50/paperback and $1.00/hardback. I bought around 54 books there last year for 35 bucks. Let's just say that I'm running out of room for books, but I have about 60 bucks spending money. :) My room will be more crowded by tomorrow night, but I can't wait.
